Adaptive Engineering: The Waikato City Council Project
For this week’s Throwback Thursday, we highlight our successful venture beyond Auckland into Hamilton, where George Grant Engineering Ltd. (GGE) delivered a crucial project for the Waikato City Council in collaboration with Livingstone Building NZ.
The project presented a unique challenge: the existing carpark, which served as the foundation, had a floor slab with limited capacity. Despite this, our team rose to the occasion by utilizing a trailer-mounted cherrypicker and scissor lift, enabling us to execute the project safely and efficiently. This project underscores our ability to adapt our engineering solutions to meet the specific constraints of any site.
Project Overview:
• Client: Livingstone Building NZ
• Scope: Structural steel installation for Waikato City Council project
• Site Challenges: Limited capacity of existing carpark floor slab
